The ceiling isn’t always where you think it is.
Sometimes it’s the doubt that turns an exciting goal into something smaller and “more realistic”. The fear of judgement that keeps a good idea unspoken or the reel unposted. The worry about seeming pushy that leaves a follow-up sitting in drafts.
It can be lowering a price to avoid the discomfort of asking for what it’s worth. Saying yes because disappointing someone feels worse than overloading yourself. Struggling to delegate because your reputation feels tied to getting every detail right.
Each choice can feel reasonable in the moment. Together, they inadvertently set the limits on how boldly someone leads, how confidently they sell and how much room they give their ambitions to grow.
The ability is there. But doubt, fear and the need for approval can make acting on it feel harder than it needs to.
Our beliefs about what’s possible, what success means and what failure says about us can operate outside our awareness. So can the responses we’ve learned to avoid judgement, disappointment or uncertainty.
An ambition can be exciting and still challenge everything that feels familiar. That tension can show up as doubt, procrastination, overwhelm or relentless overthinking, even when we know exactly what we want.

I’m Dr Leah Marie, and I know what it means to question a limit.
I’m fascinated by why some people see limitations as dead ends, while others see them as challenges to overcome, and understanding how we can change what we believe is possible for ourselves.
After a series of complex shoulder injuries at 19, I was told I might never regain full use of my arm, let alone pursue my passion for bodybuilding. I refused to let that limitation become my reality, no matter how long answers would take, and went on to become a professional natural bodybuilder with multiple national and world titles.
After seeing people around me treating their fears and doubts as fact, I was determined to find out how I could assist them to overcome their own perceived limitations and to pursue their goals with vigour. This led me into academic research, where (perhaps ironically) my own internal fears played out as panic-inducing perfectionism, insomnia and burnout.
Through my PhD in mindset transformation, I not only rewired my own patterns and ended my perfectionism but also developed a deep understanding of the forces at play. I realised that the answer went far beyond mindset work alone. What followed was accreditation as a hypnotherapist and NLP practitioner, becoming an expert in subconscious rewiring for success.
With my own transformations and successes across sport, academia, and business, today I focus on helping ambitious founders and sales teams make their own invisible ceilings their new floor.
